Jessie Barrie

Jessie Barrie has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as the Head of School at Bosque School since July 2019, where the focus is on innovative and immersive learning for grades 6-12. Prior to this role, Jessie was the Lead Academic Chair and a member of the Central Leadership Team at Albuquerque Academy from July 2005 to June 2019, contributing to the school's recognition as one of the top private high schools in the nation. Additionally, Jessie founded and served as Executive Director of the Independent Schools Experiential Education Network from June 2005 to June 2018, promoting experiential education practices in independent schools. Earlier experience includes serving as the Assistant Director of the Outdoor Education Program at Dunn School from August 2000 to June 2002. Educational achievements include a PhD in Educational Leadership and Administration from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Recreation Management with a focus on Outdoor Education from Acadia University.
