Shaun Hanafin

Facilities Manager at Boston Ballet

Shaun Hanafin is the Facilities Manager at Boston Ballet. Shaun has over three years of experience in facilities and operations management. Prior to joining Boston Ballet, Shaun was the Facilities Operations Coordinator at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School and a Facilities Intern at Boston College. Shaun has also completed two co-ops in facilities management, one at Ropes & Gray LLP and one at Boston College. In their role as Facilities Manager at Boston Ballet, Shaun is responsible for maintaining the PM program for HVAC, mechanical equipment, electrical, lights, fire safety systems, and security systems. Shaun also maintains the irrigation system, lawn equipment, exterior/interior doors, entrance/exit gates, lights, and painted areas. In addition, Shaun is responsible for overseeing on-site subcontractors, maintaining inventory and equipment, performing janitorial and pest control duties, and conducting daily property inspections and security checks.

Shaun Hanafin has a Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Planning and Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Shaun also has a Diploma in College Prep from Winthrop High School. Hanafin has various certifications from OSHAcademy in Occupational Safety and Health, including Manager, Professional, Specialist, Supervisor, and Train-The-Trainer. Shaun is also certified in Safety and Health Committee/Team Leader and Member.

Shaun Hanafin reports to Meredith Max Hodges, Executive Director. Shaun Hanafin works with Colin Metz - Box Office Manager, Maggie Williams - Digital Marketing Coordinator, and Shannon Parsley - Rehearsal Director & Artistic Coordinator.
