Mary Ann (Nolan) Polad has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mary Ann started their career as a Program Director at The Food and Drug Law Institute in 1988. Later, they worked as an Associate at Burson-Marsteller from 1989 to 1993, and then as a Senior Account Manager at Burson-Marsteller, Inc from 1991 to 1993. Mary Ann also served as Vice President at The Lukaszewski Group, Inc from 1995 to 1997, providing strategic communications and management counsel to various industries. Mary Ann then joined Allied Waste Industries, Inc./Browning-Ferris Industries, Inc as a Market Development Specialist/Community Affairs Manager and played a crucial role in securing disposal pricing from the Town of Framingham and renegotiating the Town of Holliston contract. Following that, they worked at Allied Waste Industries, Inc as a Division EH&S Manager and District EH&S Manager, where they were responsible for DOT, OSHA, and environmental compliance. Mary Ann also served as the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager at Metso Automation, Inc in 2007. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as a Manager of Environmental, Health & Safety at Aspen Aerogels, Inc. During their time there, they helped reinvigorate and grow the EH&S program for the start-up manufacturing company and oversaw its manufacturing and personnel growth. Mary Ann also played a key role in various compliance responsibilities and the establishment of training programs. Currently, they are working as the Director of EHS, Security & Sustainability at The Boston Beer Company, starting from 2013
Mary Ann (Nolan) Polad earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Saint Anselm College, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Prior to that, they obtained their HS Diploma in College Prep from Fontbonne Academy, which they attended from 1980 to 1984.
