Director, Community Engagement at Boston Celtics

Johnson Tran is currently the Director of Community Engagement for the Boston Celtics. Johnson previously worked as an Agency Consultant for Allstate Insurance Agency from August 2014 to November 2014. In this role, they researched sales leads in the Greater Boston area and converted them to new business while ensuring proper agency branding and customer service throughout the sales process. Johnson also created customized automobile quotes and endorsements at competitive rates for potential and current clients, saving them an average of $300 on a policy while generating an average of $400 in revenue for the agency.

From January 2014 to May 2014, Johnson was a Community Relations Intern for the Boston Celtics. In this role, they oversaw the planning and activation of the department's twenty community initiatives, focusing on maximizing the organization's and corporate partners' impact level in New England with the use of Celtics players, personalities, and the sport of basketball. Johnson also evaluated and utilized the Celtics brand to support the department's goal of providing incentives for program participants, rewarding them for their creative efforts in resolving social issues.

Johnson Tran has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from San Diego State University in Sports Business Management and a BSBA from Questrom School of Business at Boston University in Entrepreneurship, Law.

They work with Ari Williams - Director, Community Engagement, Leon Powe - Community Ambassador, and Kash Cannon - Director, Community Engagement. Johnson Tran reports to Dave Hoffman, SVP, Community Engagement.
