Erick Berrelleza

Erick Berrelleza, S.J. currently serves as the Founding Dean of Messina College at Boston College since September 2022. Prior to this role, Berrelleza was an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Santa Clara University from September 2021 to August 2022, and a Visiting Scholar at Boston College from September 2019 to August 2021. Berrelleza also held the position of Superior of the Jesuit Community at Brophy College Preparatory from August 2015 to July 2016 and worked as a Religion Teacher at Bellarmine College Preparatory from August 2010 to July 2012. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Sociology from Boston University, a Master of Divinity in Theology/Theological Studies from Boston College, and a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University.
