Lauren Wilwerding

Lauren Wilwerding, Ph.D., is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of the Practice in English at Boston College, a position held since July 2018, alongside roles as part-time faculty and a former Assistant Director of the Lowell Humanities Series from January 2015 to June 2019. Wilwerding has also contributed to Tufts University as a Lecturer and Visiting Lecturer from August 2018 to May 2023, and was a Visiting Scholar in the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at Northeastern University during the same period. Wilwerding holds a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from Boston College, obtained in 2018, as well as a B.A. in English and Economics from Bowdoin College and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cape Town, both acquired prior to the doctorate. Previous professional experience includes roles as a Senior Research Analyst and Project Analyst at Kantar Retail from June 2011 to December 2013.
