Reem Fahey has a comprehensive and diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Reem started their career as an Electrical Engineer at the Jordanian Electricity Authority in 1988. Reem then worked as an Electric Lab Testing Engineer at S&C Electric Company from 1989 to 1990.
In 1990, Reem joined ComEd, where they held various managerial and analyst roles. As Manager of Transmission & Open Access, they implemented the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's orders and managed issues related to OASIS, Tagging, and Scheduling. Reem also represented ComEd on various NERC and MAIN committees. Throughout their time at ComEd, they provided transmission strategy, implemented innovative contracts, and coordinated asset management.
In 1999, Reem joined Edison Mission Energy as the Vice President of Market Policy & Market Operations. In this role, they were responsible for the development of wholesale electricity market design strategies and the operations department's activities. Reem represented the company in front of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and actively participated in the deregulation efforts in Illinois. Additionally, they identified opportunities to create additional value and managed the company's preparation for market expansion.
Reem joined Boston Energy Trading & Marketing, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi, in 2014 as the Vice President of Business Development. Reem was in charge of origination and marketing for energy management and asset management for third-party assets. Reem also handled structured transactions and merchant transmission.
In 2015, Reem was promoted to Senior Vice President at Boston Energy Trading and Marketing. Reem continued to play a significant role in the company until 2018 when they became the President of the organization. Reem held this position until October 2020 when they became the Chief Executive Officer of Boston Energy Trading and Marketing.
Throughout their career, Reem Fahey demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in the energy trading and marketing industry. Reem'sexperience includes managing operations, developing market strategies, and representing companies in regulatory matters.
Reem Fahey has a diverse education history. In 1982, they attended the University of Jordan and completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1986. Later on, they pursued further education and completed a Master's Degree in Power Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1988 to 1989. In 2006, Reem enrolled at Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Management for an Executive Leadership program, which they completed in 2007.
