Jason Kraus

Jason Kraus has a diverse work experience in the venture capital and entrepreneurship field. Jason is currently a Partner at EQx Fund, an Angel Investment fund that focuses on the emotional intelligence of founders. Prior to this, they were the Founder and CEO of Prepare 4 VC, a company that helps firms with their business plans, financial valuations, slide decks, and investor pitches. Jason has also worked as an Author for Venture Forward, where they collected real-world stories from successful founders to inspire and support new entrepreneurs. Jason has been the Chapter Director of Startup Grind, a global community of entrepreneurs, investors, and service providers. Additionally, they have served as a Member and Sponsor at Boston Harbor Angels Inc., a group of business leaders interested in investing in high-growth, early-stage companies. Jason has also worked as the Director of Venture Capital at Equity Venture Partners, a funding portal for private market deals. Jason co-founded MatterVest, a platform that allows individuals to invest in startups through equity crowdfunding, and ImpactSeeker, a platform that helps users find and support startups in specific themes or industries. Jason started their career as an Associate at a Private Family Office, where they focused on venture deals and investments in the maritime industry. Prior to that, they interned as an Angel Investment Intern at Boston Harbor Angels, where they gained experience in investing and worked with entrepreneurs.

Jason Kraus has a Master's Degree in Management in Entrepreneurial Leadership from the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, which they obtained from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Colgate University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics. In 2012, they also participated in a Study Abroad Program in Global Economics at DIS - Study Abroad. In addition to their formal education, Jason has obtained certifications such as "SMB Owner | Manager - Build Your Trade Secret Foundations" from B4Patents in November 2022 and "Startup School Online" from Y Combinator in June 2017.
