Brent Barrett

Chief Laboratory Director at Boston IVF

Brent Barrett has extensive work experience in reproductive medicine. Brent began their career in 1988 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. In 1992, they joined Boston IVF as an Embryology Supervisor, a position they held until 2007 when they were promoted to Laboratory Director. Recently, in 2016, Barrett was appointed as the Chief Laboratory Director at Boston IVF.

Brent Barrett pursued their education in the field of biology, specializing in cell biology and reproductive biology. Brent obtained a B.S. degree from the University of Maine between 1973 and 1977. Brent then went on to attend Boston College, where they completed an M.S. degree in Cell Biology/Reproductive Biology from 1981 to 1983. Continuing their academic journey, Brent Barrett obtained a Ph.D. in the same field from Boston College, completing their doctoral studies between 1983 and 1988.
