Nick Lawlor has had a diverse work experience. In 2012, they worked as a Produce Clerk at Roche Bros. Supermarkets, where they learned problem solving and customer interaction skills. In 2014, they worked as a Construction Worker at Alden Building Co., gaining knowledge of construction techniques and tool operation. In 2015, they worked as a Sales Associate at Landry's Bicycles, fitting and selling bicycles and maintaining store social media profiles. In 2017, they worked as a Salesperson at Park Ave Bike, diagnosing mechanical issues and creating work orders. In 2018, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Rochester, experimenting with post-processing of laser modified contact lenses and operating an interferometer. Nick was also a Mechanical Engineer Intern at SharkNinja, developing and executing test procedures for Shark ION autonomous home vacuum systems. Currently, they are a Mechanical Engineer and Operations Engineer at Boston Metal, developing molten oxide electrolysis technology for use in primary metals production and utilizing Solidworks to create and edit CAD models and engineering drawings for manufacture.
Nick Lawlor obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester between 2015 and 2019. Prior to that, they attended Needham High School from 2011 to 2015. In addition, they hold a First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, obtained in January 2015, and a Hoisting Engineer certification from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, obtained in November 2019.
