Boston Music Project
Christopher Schroeder is an experienced music educator and administrator currently serving as Affiliate Faculty at Emerson College School of Communication and Visiting Faculty at Longy School of Music. As the Executive Director of Boston Music Project since June 2018, Schroeder has been pivotal in promoting social-emotional skills among underserved youth through music. Schroeder also founded Summer Street Brass Band, which offers performance and educational opportunities for young musicians. Additional roles include National Education Consultant at Conn-Selmer, Inc., Module Director for The Global Leaders Program, and former Arts Coordinator for Boston Public Schools, where Schroeder organized large-scale performances and festivals. With a strong educational background including an MM in Orchestral Performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee and leadership training from Harvard Business School, Schroeder continues to influence the music education landscape significantly.

Boston Music Project
The Boston Music Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit that has provided music-based Creative Youth Development programming to thousands of Boston youth since 2011. Our team of 45 diverse teaching artists provides weekly music education to nearly 2,000 PreK-12th grade students across 22 Boston schools each year. BMP before, after, and in-school programs provide students with the resources and support to unleash their musical creativity through strings, brass, woodwinds, piano, and digital music instruction while fostering their social-emotional skills to find success in music, school, and life.
