David Mitchell

David Mitchell started their work experience in 1987 as a Senior Account Executive and Underwriter at Unum Reinsurance. David then worked at Disability RMS from 1993 to 2011, where they held the position of VP of Client Management and was responsible for managing the customer base, marketing, products, underwriting, and setting the company's strategic direction. In 2011, they joined Custom Disability Solutions as the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing marketing, business and product development, client distribution support, and relationship management. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Vice President of Group Insurance at Boston Mutual Life Insurance, with accountability for the group insurance division's performance and operations. David then held the role of VP of Strategic Planning and Communications from 2014 to 2017. Since February 2017, David has been the Executive Vice President of External Affairs and Corporate Communications at Boston Mutual Life Insurance.

David Mitchell earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. David later pursued a Master of Science in Innovation (MSI) from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University, attending from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, David obtained a certification as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA in 1993.
