Derek Beckvold

Derek Beckvold is currently serving as the Development Officer for the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. Previously, Derek has held positions such as Education and Community Engagement Manager at the same organization. Derek is also the Founder and Co-Founder of Culture Connect, and Music Basti where Derek serves as the Curriculum and Teacher Training Advisor. With a background in music and education, Derek has also worked with organizations such as American Voices, Giant Steps Music, Empowerment Through Integration, Global Music Institute, and Musicmatters Sri Lanka in various capacities such as Faculty, Curriculum Writer, Assistant Director of Institutional Advancement, Programs Manager, and Artist In Residence. Derek holds a Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music.
