Andrea Nelson

Andrea Nelson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product management and engineering, particularly in the autonomous vehicle and robotics sectors. Currently serving as a Board Member for the Boston Product Management Association since January 2023, Andrea held the position of VP of Product at Motional, overseeing various functions including product management, UX design, and human factors research. Previous roles include Director of New Product Development at AT&T, GM of Product at Latch, and a principal PMT at Amazon Robotics, where significant growth and efficiencies were achieved. Earlier experience includes leadership positions at AiRXOS, Exa Corporation, and noteworthy contributions as a research scientist at NASA Ames Research Center, earning multiple awards for excellence in aerodynamics research. Andrea holds a B.S. in Aeronautical & Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and both an M.S. and PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University.
