Director Of Child And Adolescent Mental Health at Boston Public Health Commission

Peter Rempelakis, MSW, LICSW, serves as the Director of Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the Boston Public Health Commission since November 2009, overseeing mental health services at eight school-based health centers and directing programs aimed at reducing chronic absenteeism among students. Prior to this role, Peter held the position of Director of Mental Health Clinical Services for Child and Adolescent Health and was instrumental in enhancing attendance and engagement in at-risk school populations. Peter's earlier experience includes directing urgent care services in child psychiatry at Boston Medical Center and leading family stabilization teams at The Home for Little Wanderers while providing clinical services as a social worker at North Suffolk Mental Health Association. Peter holds a Master of Social Work from Boston University, completed in 1991, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from the same institution, earned in 1985.
