Jessica Bitely is an experienced preservation manager currently working at Boston Public Library since March 2017. Prior to this role, Jessica served as the Director of Preservation Services at the Northeast Document Conservation Center from October 2012 to February 2017, where supervision included overseeing a team of Preservation Specialists in the development of webinars, workshops, and preservation assessment reports. Jessica also worked as a Preservation Specialist at NEDCC, focusing on creating detailed preservation recommendations based on site assessments. Earlier in their career, Jessica was a Preservation Program Specialist at Preservation Technologies, LP, where Jessica developed preservation plans for clients’ materials. Jessica holds a Master of Library and Information Science in Archival Management from Simmons University and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts from Rollins College.
