Jessica N. Chapel

Jessica N. Chapel currently serves as the Chief of Digital & Online Services at the Boston Public Library, a role undertaken since April 2023. Prior experience includes positions at Harvard Law School, where Jessica led digital project initiatives, including the stewardship of digital collections and piloting a streamlined digitization workflow. With a substantial background in digital media and web management, Jessica has held various roles, including Principal at Railbird Media, Digital Producer at Breeders’ Cup Limited, and Web Manager at Daily Racing Form. Additional experience spans freelance writing and editing, web development, and production management for prominent publications such as The Atlantic and The American Prospect. Jessica holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Simmons University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UMass Boston.
