Kara O'Keefe

Kara O'Keefe is an experienced professional in the field of development and fundraising, currently serving as Senior Major Gifts Officer at the Boston Symphony Orchestra since July 2016. Previously, Kara held various roles within the Boston Symphony Orchestra, including Associate Director of Individual Giving and Leadership Gifts Officer. Prior to this, Kara was Major Gifts & Events Manager at From the Top, overseeing leadership annual giving and development events for a nonprofit focused on classical music. Other notable positions include Development Officer for Special Events at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and Associate Director of the Rivers School Conservatory, managing fundraising and marketing activities. Kara began a career in development at the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 2005, progressing through roles that involved managing significant events and donor relations. Kara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Planned Studies from Ithaca College.
