Robert Kirzinger

Robert Kirzinger is an established professional in the field of music publications, serving as the Director of Program Publications for the Boston Symphony Orchestra since November 1998, where responsibilities include creating and guiding program materials. Previous roles at the Boston Symphony Orchestra include Associate Director and Assistant Director of Program Publications, with significant contributions in writing, editing, lecturing, and podcast production. Additionally, Robert worked as an Annotator for the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, providing program notes and conducting pre-concert talks. An adjunct faculty member at Northeastern University from 2010 to 2016, Robert taught a course titled "Writing About Music." Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in music composition from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor’s Degree in music composition from Carnegie Mellon University.
