Harvey Young serves as the Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Boston University, overseeing various departments including BU Art Galleries, School of Theatre, School of Music, and School of Visual Arts since January 2018. Between July 2017 and July 2019, Young held the role of President of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, leading the largest academic association focused on theatre in higher education. Previously at Northwestern University, Young was a Professor and the Chair of the Department of Theatre from September 2002 to January 2018, during which time the program gained national recognition. Educational credentials include a PhD and Master of Arts from Cornell University, a Master of Arts from the University at Buffalo, and a BA from Yale University.
