Keith Brown

Assistant Professor Of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, And Physics at Boston University

Keith Brown is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in mechanical engineering, materials science, and physics. Since July 2015, Keith has served as an Assistant Professor at Boston University. Prior to this role, Keith was an International Institute for Nanotechnology Postdoctoral Fellow at Northwestern University, collaborating with Professor Chad Mirkin from August 2011 to May 2015. Keith completed a PhD and a Master’s degree in Applied Physics at Harvard University, where involvement included work as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Westervelt Lab from September 2006 to July 2011. Earlier research experiences include positions as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and a Summer Research Intern at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, focusing on the Analog Devices Technology group and the Lincoln Near Earth Asteroid Research program, respectively. Keith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006.
