Luke McGee is an accomplished database administrator and consultant with nearly three decades of experience in the field. Currently serving as the Lead DBA at Boston University since October 2006, Luke specializes in various database technologies, including ADABAS/Natural, UDB, Oracle (LUW), SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL across multiple operating systems. Previously, Luke owned McGee Consulting from October 1997 to October 2010, focusing on database software consulting and z/OS systems programming. Additional roles include being a DBA at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and a DB2 DBA at IBM, where Luke contributed to significant projects like the transition of United Health Care systems to IBM's Southbury Data Center. Earlier experience as Lead DBA at Northeast Utilities involved expertise in Software AG products and DB2.
