Mariette Dichristina

Dean, College of Communication at Boston University

Mariette Dichristina is currently the Dean of the College of Communication at Boston University. Prior to that, they spent four years as the Executive Vice President of Editorial & Publishing for Nature Research Magazines, where they oversaw a team of 160 science journalists. Mariette has also held positions as President of the National Association of Science Writers, Visiting Scholar at New York University, and Adjunct Professor at New York University. From 2001 to 2019, they were the Editor in Chief of Scientific American.

Mariette Dichristina began their educational career by earning a high school diploma from Mamaroneck High School. Mariette then went on to earn a BS in Journalism from Boston University College of Communication.

Their manager is Robert A. Brown, President. Mariette Dichristina works with Chris Dellarocas - Associate Provost for Digital Learning and Innovation, Andrea Taylor - Senior Diversity Officer, and Jason Campbell-Foster - Interim Associate Provost & Dean of Students.
