Rene Fielding

Rene Fielding is an experienced emergency management professional with a robust background in overseeing emergency operations in various prestigious organizations. Currently serving as the Emergency Management Director at Boston University since January 2020, Rene previously held the position of Director of Emergency Management at Tufts University from September 2018 to December 2019. From August 2006 to September 2018, Rene directed the Office of Emergency Management for the City of Boston, after having served as Deputy Director there. Earlier experience includes the role of Assistant Director of Grant Operations at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety from 2003 to 2006. Rene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University, earned between 1994 and 1999.
