Michael Goldberg has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research. Michael joined BostonGene in 2020 and currently holds the position of Director since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Evelo Biosciences as a Senior Scientist from January 2020 to August 2021. Michael also worked as a Research Scientist at Evelo Biosciences from March 2019 to January 2020. Before joining Evelo Biosciences, Michael worked at the University of Minnesota as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from October 2013 to March 2019. Michael also had a brief stint as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from February 2013 to September 2013. Their career began at the FDA, where they worked as an IRTA Research Fellow from October 2004 to August 2006.
Michael Goldberg completed their education starting from 1998 to 2004 at the University of Pittsburgh, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical and Biological Anthropology. Following this, from 2004 to 2006, they attended Georgetown University and achieved a Master of Science degree in Biohazardous Threat Agents & Emerging Infectious Diseases. Finally, from 2006 to 2012, Michael pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Microbiology and Immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
