Jim Hayes III

Vice President/general Superintendent at Bosworth Steel Erectors, LLC

Jim Hayes III has a diverse work experience in the steel erection industry. Jim started their career as an Iron Worker in various companies such as Global Erectors, Williams Erectors, Zachary, Gate Pre-cast, Williams, and Beasley. During this time, they worked on multiple projects involving the layout and erection of pre-cast, structural, and miscellaneous iron. Jim had different roles within these companies, including working as an apprentice, journeyman, production welder, and foreman.

In 2002, Jim joined Bosworth Steel Erectors/Ironworkers Local 263 as a Field Superintendent. In this role, they were responsible for the day-to-day activities of structural steel erection, crane assembly and dismantling, installation of miscellaneous metals, and maintaining job-wide safety practices. Jim also handled cost and scheduling demands, organized manpower, and maintained efficient record keeping.

In 2014, Jim became a part of Bosworth Steel Erectors, LLC, where they held the positions of General Superintendent and Vice President/General Superintendent. Their responsibilities included general field operations, equipment location and allocation, tool distribution, personnel assignments, and welding needs awareness.

Throughout their career, Jim has gained extensive knowledge and experience in the steel erection industry, demonstrating expertise in various aspects such as field operations, project management, safety practices, and manpower organization.

Jim Hayes III completed their education as a Journeyman Iron Worker from the Iron Worker Apprenticeship Locals 808 in Orlando Fla, 397 in Tampa Fla, and 263 in Dallas/Ft.Worth, Texas from 1995 to 1997. Prior to that, they attended H.B. Plant High School from 1990 to 1993. Additionally, they obtained various certifications including Project Management Academy from Impact / International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Ironworkers in January 2013, Certified Welder from I.W.L.U. 263 in July 1997, Journeyman Ironworker from the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers in July 1997, and O.S.H.A. certifications (10 Hour, 30 Hour, Subpart R, Qualified Rigger, and Signal man) from O.S.H.A. in July 1997.
