A. B. Govardhan

Govardhan A. B. is a skilled and experienced 3D professional with 15+ years in the VFX industry. As BOT’s Head of Department for both Matchmove and Rotomation, he brings his broad expertise to bear on both the creative and technical challenges of shot deliveries.

Gova takes a hands-on approach to the daily flow of work on the floor, partnering with supervisors and leads to keep in close touch with artists so that issues are quickly resolved, and to maintain consistency when requirements change. He proactively maintains a consistent working methodology between departments and across shows, paying particular attention to tools and pipeline development.

Gova works with the production team to ensure accurate bidding and to meet production timelines. He makes sure that talent is matched effectively to shows, and participates in hiring and onboarding of new hires. His leadership also includes mentoring artists to provide guidance and insight.

He has taken particular pleasure in his involvement with the VFX for 1917, Jungle Cruise, CATS, Dolittle, and Monster Problems.
