Michelle Katz

Michelle Katz is the Chief Business & Legal Counsel at Botanic Technologies, Inc. Michelle has also served as the Co-Founder and Chief Legal and Business Officer at the company from April 2012 to December 2018. Prior to joining Botanic Technologies, Inc., Michelle Katz was with California College of the Arts and Art Center College of Design. Michelle started their legal career at Universal Studios in 1991 and served as the Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, New Media Division. In this role, they were responsible for negotiation and business advisement for technology and content agreements for internet, software, digital games, new media, and hardware development for Universal Studios companies worldwide. Michelle also oversaw Paramount Pictures International and domestic anti-piracy program and worked with FBI and Customs to combat theft of motion picture and television assets via counterfeiting.

Michelle Katz attended the University of Southern California, where they earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.). Michelle also has a teaching credential from California State University San Francisco in secondary education and teaching. Michelle Katz's undergraduate degree is in history from the University of California, Berkeley. Michelle also has a certification from Junior Yeoman Archer.

Michelle Katz reports to Mark Stephen Meadows, CEO & Founder. They work with Eduardo Polidor - CTO, John McKnight - Chief Architect, and Julia Starkov - Lead UX & UI Designer.
