Elizabeth Ferguson, FCCA, FCPA has a strong background in audit and internal audit roles. Elizabeth currently serves as the Chief Audit Executive at the Botswana Housing Corporation since 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Chief Internal Auditor at the Botswana Housing Cooperation from 2015 to 2023. Before that, they worked as the Chief Audit Executive at the Botswana Development Corporation Limited from 2014 to 2014, and as the Principal Internal Auditor from 2009 to 2014. Elizabeth also has experience as a Senior Internal Auditor at the Botswana Development Corporation from 2007 to 2008, and as an Internal Auditor at the Bank of Botswana in 2006. Elizabeth began their career as an External Auditor at PriceWaterHouse Coopers from 2003 to 2006.

Elizabeth started their educational journey at the Botswana Accounting College, where they obtained the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) qualification, specializing in Accounting/Finance. Elizabeth then pursued a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree at the University of Botswana from 1999 to 2003, focusing on Accounting and Finance. Later on, they enrolled at the Botswana Acccountancy College and completed their ACCA in Enterprise Risk Management in 2014. Recently, Elizabeth Ferguson attended Stellenbosch University, where they obtained a Leadership Programme qualification in Business Administration and Management, General in 2020.
