Alfred Pone (MBA) is an experienced researcher and entrepreneur with a strong focus on energy management, IoT, and data analytics through current roles at the Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation as an Energy IoT & Data Analytics Researcher and as Co-Founder of Smart Learning Hub (Pty) Ltd, aimed at advancing STEMB education. Additionally, Alfred serves as Founder of Atoms and Bits Labs (Pty) Ltd, focusing on AI research and Industry 4.0 training, and as an Innovation Engineer at DIGITAL FASTFORWARD, LLC, exploring emerging technologies. Corporate Profile Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI) was established in 2012 as a Government of the Republic of Botswana company limited by guarantee, to conduct needs-based research and development in focused areas, in accordance with national priorities. BITRI falls under the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology (MOTE). The technologies will as much as possible maximize the use of local materials to ensure efficiency and affordability.
