Jon Melander

Jon joined Boulay Financial Advisors, LLC in 2015, became a partner in 2016 and has more than 20 years of experience in wealth management and financial planning. He provides financial planning for families and individuals in all stages of life, and he implements retirement distribution planning to help minimize tax liabilities. Jon advises plan sponsors of qualified retirement plans with 1-500 plan participants on participant education, investment due diligence and selection, recordkeeping platforms and TPA selection, and he advises businesses owners, trustees and other interested parties regarding their fiduciary obligations. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Jon was drafted in the 5th round of the 1990 NFL draft by the New England Patriots where he spent two seasons. Jon also played a year for the Cincinnati Bengals before finishing his football career starting 23 games in two years with the Denver Broncos.
