Angela “Fig” Wirkler

Angela "Fig" Wirkler has a diverse work experience in the travel and hospitality industry. Angela “Fig” started their career in 2013 as an Operations Manager at Power Places Tours. In 2014, they joined Millennium Hotels and Resorts as a Group Sales Coordinator before moving on to Visit Boulder in the same year. At Visit Boulder, they held various roles including Group Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager, and currently serves as the Director of Sales. Angela has demonstrated their expertise in sales and management throughout their career.

Angela "Fig" Wirkler, CMP obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Denver, completing their studies from 2006 to 2007. Angela “Fig” then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Philosophy from Metropolitan State University of Denver, graduating from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, Fig has obtained various certifications in the events industry, including the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) from the Events Industry Council in 2020. Angela “Fig” also completed the PDM: Fundamentals of Destination Management & Marketing Course from Destinations International in 2017 and Women in Leadership: Executive Leadership Skills from Meeting Professionals International in the same year. In 2016, they obtained a Cvent Certification and in 2015, they received a Certificate of Achievement - Sales Academy II from DMAI's empowerMINT.com.
