Farm And Sustainability Director at Boulder JCC

Becca Weaver has a diverse work experience in the field of farming and education. Becca started their career in 2006 as a Farmer and Educator in Boulder, Colorado. After obtaining their bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Becca combined their technical skills with their passion for food and nature. Becca then worked as a Volunteer Coordinator and Educator at Kayam Farm at Pearlstone from 2008 to 2009.

In 2010, Becca joined the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project as a Farmer Resource Coordinator. Becca coordinated a statewide landmatching program for new and immigrant farmers in Massachusetts and utilized GIS mapping techniques and community outreach to find more farmland in the state. Becca also organized a beginning farmer network across the state during their tenure.

In 2014, Becca took up the role of Farm and Sustainability Director at Boulder JCC. Becca has been responsible for overseeing farm operations and promoting sustainability initiatives. Additionally, they also serve as the Lead Educator at Ekar Farm, where they educate others about sustainable farming practices.

Throughout their career, Becca Weaver has demonstrated a strong commitment to farming, education, and sustainability.

Becca Weaver's education history consists of a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. Becca then pursued a Master of Science degree in Agriculture, Food, and the Environment from The Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University from 2009 to 2011. In 2013, Becca obtained a certificate in Ecological Horticulture from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
