Jessica Alzen

Jessica Alzen serves as the Executive Director of Accountability and Evaluation at Boulder Valley School District since July 2025. In addition to this role, Jessica has been an Adjunct Professor at California Baptist University since January 2008, teaching online and face-to-face courses in math, English, statistics, and research methods. Prior experience includes a tenure at the University of Colorado Boulder from June 2017 to July 2025 as a Senior Research Associate, overseeing mixed-methods evaluation projects related to K-12 and post-secondary education. Jessica also held roles as a Research Associate and Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the same institution, designing and implementing evaluations for various educational programs. Earlier in the career, Jessica taught middle school subjects at Alvord Unified School District and earned a Ph.D. in Research and Evaluation Methodology from the University of Colorado Boulder. Additionally, a Master of Arts in English Pedagogy was obtained from California Baptist University between January 2005 and January 2007.
