Eliza Buyers

Eliza Buyers has a diverse work experience in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Eliza is currently the Director of Teen and Community Programs at Boulder Valley Women's Health Center, where they focus on providing reproductive health services to teenagers and the community.

Prior to their current role, Eliza worked as a Volunteer Faculty and Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Eliza has been an active board-certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2006.

Eliza was also a faculty member and course facilitator at ECHO Colorado, where they designed and facilitated a 6-week series on adolescent reproductive health topics for primary care providers.

Eliza has extensive clinical experience as a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologist at Children's Hospital Colorado, where they focused on complex and common adolescent gynecology issues. Eliza provided care for conditions such as abnormal bleeding, PCOS, and long-acting reversible contraception.

Prior to their time at Children's Hospital, Eliza served as the Medical Director of The Young Women's Health Program at The Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics. Eliza also worked as a Gynecologist, Reach Out Fellow at Inner City Health Center, providing gynecology care to underserved populations.

Additionally, Eliza has experience as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Colorado Permanente Medical Group and in private practice with Peter Vargas, MD. Eliza has also held positions as the Clinic Medical Director at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains and completed their residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at SCL Health St. Joseph Hospital.

Eliza Buyers obtained their MD degree from Thomas Jefferson University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History & Women's Studies at Princeton University, from 1989 to 1993.

In addition to their educational background, Eliza Buyers has also earned certification as a Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) in January 2006.
