Pilar Prados is the CEO and co-founder of Bounsel, a company that provides legal services to startups and tech companies. Pilar is also a professor at Esade, where they teach "Tech Applications and Coding for Lawyers."
Prados began their career as an associate at Cuatrecasas, where they participated in major cross-border transactions and arbitrations. Pilar advised foreign companies on corporate governance matters and promptly prepared legal memoranda. Pilar also defended minority shareholders in pre-litigation corporate suits.
In 2014, Prados became a foreign associate at Chaffetz Lindsey LLP. There, they successfully defended clients’ interests in South American complex construction projects before prominent international arbitration institutions. Pilar was also actively engaged in publishing, business development activities and promotional actions in New York City with the partners.
Prados returned to Cuatrecasas in 2015 as an associate before leaving to start Bounsel in 2017.
Pilar Prados has a Master of Laws from Columbia Law School, a Master of Stock Exchange and Financial Markets from IEB, and a Licenciatura en Derecho from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Pilar also has secondary education from Guadalaviar School. Pilar is certified by the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid in Spain and admitted to the bar there. Pilar is also certified by the Goethe-Institut Barcelona in Germany for the Goethe-Zertifikat B2. In addition, they have a certification from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil for the FGV-Specialization Course in Brazilian Corporate Law. Finally, they have certifications from the Alliance Française Paris Île-de-France in France for the Alliance Française-Intensive Course B1-B2 and from Centro Universitario Villanueva in Spain for the Somosierra Complementary Curriculum Program (PCC).
