Rebecca Neal

Rebecca Neal is a Principal Lecturer at Bournemouth University, where roles have included Senior Lecturer and Lecturer in Exercise Physiology since September 2017. In addition to academic responsibilities, Rebecca serves as the Head of Obstacle Course Racing for British Obstacle Sports, acting as a Technical Representative on the Board and chairing the OCR Technical Committee since December 2021. Previous experiences include a position as Senior Research Associate and PhD Researcher at the University of Portsmouth from 2013 to 2017, culminating in a PhD in Sports Physiology. Earlier, Rebecca was a coach at Poole Athletic Club, where a sports-hall outreach programme for schools was co-developed. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Portsmouth and a Master’s from King’s College London.
