Bournville Village Trust
Louise Deakin is an experienced heritage and engagement professional with a career spanning over a decade. Currently serving as the Heritage Engagement Officer for Selly Manor at Bournville Village Trust since August 2022, Louise also holds the position of Vice-chair at the Jewellery Quarter Research Trust, where efforts focus on the preservation and promotion of local history. Previous roles include positions at Moor Pool Heritage Trust, Stourbridge Glass Museum, Museum of Royal Worcester, and Birmingham Museums Trust, where responsibilities ranged from community outreach to educational programming. Notably, Louise contributed to the Heritage Lottery Fund as a Community Engagement Officer and has extensive experience in customer service and volunteer coordination through earlier roles at Waterstones and Birmingham Conservation Trust. Louise earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Wolverhampton between 2002 and 2005.
Bournville Village Trust
Lightmoor Village is a modern urban village development in Telford. The Village is a joint venture between housing association Bournville Village Trust (BVT) and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). To make sure the Village is a long term success, Bournville Stewardship Services, part of BVT, manage much of the public open space.
