Its Heavy engineering segment is engaged in shipbuilding and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of commercial vessels and Navy's patrol vessels. Its Manufacturing segment is engaged in the manufacturing of electronic products, and provides and undertakes system design, infrastructure and facilities, project management and integration works, and services for the defense, commercial and industrial sectors, manufacturers, installers, maintainers, repairers of and dealers in electrical and electronic appliances and apparatus. Its Chartering segment is engaged in the chartering of chemical tankers. Its subsidiaries include Boustead Penang Shipyard Sdn. Bhd., BHIC Trading Sdn. Bhd., BHIC Marine Carriers Sdn. Bhd. Dominion Defence & Industries Sdn. Bhd., Perstim Industries Sdn. Bhd. and BHIC Defence Technologies Sdn. Bhd.
