Emily Sumner has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Emily started their career as a Community Assistant at South Dakota State University in 2011 and concurrently worked as an Engineering Intern at Mortenson during the same period. In 2013, they became an Admissions Ambassador at South Dakota State University until 2014.
In 2014, Emily joined Mortenson as a Field Engineer and worked in this role until 2016. Emily then transitioned to the position of Project Engineer, where they worked until 2019. From 2019 to 2020, they served as an Assistant Project Manager at Mortenson.
In 2020, Emily joined Bouten Construction Company as a Senior Project Engineer. Emily held this role until May 2022, when they were promoted to the position of Project Manager. Emily currently continues their work in this capacity at Bouten Construction Company.
