Program Chair, School of Foundational Learning & High School Upgrading at BOW VALLEY COLLEGE

Cobern is the Program Chair for the High School Upgrading program in the School of Foundational Learning. After graduating from the University of Calgary with a BA in history and English and a BEd in secondary education, Cobern joined Bow Valley College as an instructor in the fall of 2006 and spent the next decade or so of his time with the college working as an instructor at the Calgary Correctional Center. He moved to the college's downtown campus in 2018 and since then has taught flex-paced, combined online, and traditional offerings of high school English, mathematics, and social studies courses.
