Mahbub Murshed

Instructor, School of Technology at BOW VALLEY COLLEGE

Mahbub Murshed is an instructor in the School of Technology. Previously, he was a research associate at Athabasca University and an assistant professor at Independent University Bangladesh. Mahbub has been teaching and doing research for more than 10 years. He joined the College as an instructor in April 2019, and has been developing and teaching many core courses for the Software Development Diploma and the Post Diploma program.

Mahbub completed his PhD in 2012 from Kyung Hee University in South Korea. During that time, he got the opportunity to engage in industrial projects and gained valuable experience while working with Samsung Electronics, National Research Foundation of Korea, and Small and Medium Business Administration, South Korea.

Mahbub’s teaching and research interest includes computer programming, computer vision and image processing, machine learning and signal processing, and deep learning. Mahbub has co-authored many international journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions and Conferences.
