Kyla Gary

Kyla Gary is currently a student at Bowdoin College, majoring in Neuroscience with an expected graduation in May 2025. Active in extracurricular activities, Kyla is a member of the varsity softball team and serves on the Bowdoin Student Athletic Advisory Committee. Kyla holds a RYT-200 certification as a yoga instructor, specializing in Vinyasa. Involved in student engagement, Kyla works with the Office of Annual Giving to enhance communication between students and alumni. As a Sports Information Assistant, Kyla tracks statistics for college field hockey and volleyball games. Kyla participated in the INBRE NIH/NSF Fellowship at Bowdoin College's Horch Lab, conducting research on Semaphorin proteins under Professor Hadley Horch. Previous experience includes a research internship at UC San Diego, focusing on high-resolution imaging techniques, and serving as a server at Woodstock's Pizza from January 2021 to August 2023. Kyla graduated as the valedictorian from Serra High School.
