Melissa Wilf

Melissa Wilf currently serves as the Executive Director of Budget at Bowie State University, a position held since June 2025. Previously, Wilf held the role of Director of Budget and Contracts at the U.S. Department of Energy from June 2022 to June 2025, and served as Assistant Director for Administration at the Department of Justice's Executive Office for the United States Trustees from June 2021 to June 2022, overseeing a $230 million budget and a workforce of over 1,000 personnel. Prior roles include Budget Officer with the Department of Justice, Director of Budget and Resource Management at the U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, and various leadership positions at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Wilf's educational background includes an Executive Education in Public Financial Management from Harvard Kennedy School, a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Maryland.
