Busisiwe Nhlapo

Busisiwe Nhlapo is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as a Partner at Bowmans since January 2025. Nhlapo previously held the role of Senior Associate at A&O Shearman from May 2024 to January 2025 and at Allen & Overy from July 2021 to January 2025. Earlier experience includes a Senior Associate position at Norton Rose Fulbright from January 2017 to July 2021, as well as roles as an Associate and Associate Designate, with a focus on corporate and commercial litigation, banking and finance law, and various areas of dispute resolution. Nhlapo began the legal career as a Law Researcher (Judges' Clerk) at the Supreme Court of Appeal from January 2013 to December 2014, performing legal research and drafting memorandums. Nhlapo holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Pretoria and is pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Public Procurement Policy and Regulation at Stellenbosch University.
