Alexander Czekalla is the VP of Finance at Box of Crayons. Alexander has over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting. Alexander began their career at Maxxam Analytics in 2004 as a Sr. Manager Financial Systems Forecasting & Planning. In this role, they were responsible for supporting, designing, and administering Maxxam's BI tool, IBM Cognos TM1. Alexander also led and managed the annual budget process and quarterly forecasts. In 2009, they initiated and managed / developed process improvements. Alexander also supported operations through the preparation and analysis of both operational and financial information. In 2010, they led the Canadian implementation of a new ERP (JDE).

During their time at Maxxam Analytics, Alexander made many accomplishments. Alexander successfully designed, developed, engineered and administered the implementation of financial reports, budget and forecasting process, as well as the automation of complicated and labour intense processes into IBM Cognos TM1. The result was a significant improvement in the month-end close timelines (1-2 days). Alexander also improved the budget process by shortening the time and effort required for budgets, while increasing control and detail that lead to better budgeting. In addition, they conceptualized and developed financial data integration within the first month of being bought by BV so that they could report their numbers to Headquarters.

Alexander is a highly skilled finance professional with a proven track record of success. Alexander is an expert in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Alexander is also experienced in ERP implementations and data integration.
