Duo Chen

Duo Chen is an experienced legal professional specializing in intellectual property (IP) with over two decades of practice in the field. Currently serving as Vice President and Chief IP Counsel at Box since November 2014, Duo has held multiple roles within the company, including Senior Director and Director of IP. Prior experience includes positions at Oracle Corporation from June 2008 to November 2014, where Duo advanced through the ranks to Managing Counsel, Senior Patent Counsel, and Patent Counsel. Additional experience includes a role as IP Counsel at SAP Labs, and previous positions as an associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and Latham & Watkins. Duo's career began at the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a patent examiner. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, and a Master's degree in Telecommunications and Computer from The George Washington University.
