Ian Munn MSc(Oxon) MSc(Cran) MBA PMP

Ian Munn MSc(Oxon) MSc(Cran) MBA PMP has a diverse work experience starting from 1996 as a Flight Instructor and Charter Pilot in various Flying Schools and Air Charter companies. In 2000, they became the Managing Director of Print Media Distribution in Zimbabwe and Zambia, where they successfully executed a change program to scale resources, infrastructure, processes, and technology in response to market liberalization. Ian then worked as a Business Change Consultant for African Channel Distribution from 2018 to 2019, where they collaborated with the Board of Directors to assess strategic and operational opportunities and improve effectiveness. From 2011 to 2022, Ian served as the Program and Operations Manager for The Kwamambo Retail Project. In 2021, they joined BoxPlay, a BoxMedia Co., as a Program Manager, helping develop an emerging market strategy and establish scalable processes. Currently, Ian is working as a Commercial Project Manager for Commercial Services Group, responsible for developing and managing a program consisting of multiple projects, identifying dependencies, and promoting collaboration across functional groups.

Ian Munn has an extensive education history. Ian obtained their MSc in Major Programme Management from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they received an MSc in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University in 2009-2010. In 2001-2004, they pursued an MBA in International Management from Royal Holloway, University of London. For their undergraduate education, Ian earned a B.Sc.(Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Zimbabwe between 1983 and 1985. Ian also holds a DipM in Marketing (Chartered Marketer) from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing, completed from 1990 to 1995.

Additionally, Ian has obtained certifications outside of their formal education. Ian received a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in April 2021. Ian also obtained a Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) certification from the same institute in August 2022.

Before pursuing higher education, Ian completed CPL/IR/TWIN training at Tasker Air Services in 1987-1988. Ian also attended St Georges College Harare, although the details of their degree or field of study in this institution are not provided.
