Director Of Wellness/mental Health Services at Boy Scouts of America, Connecticut Rivers Council

Zachary Nailon has a diverse work experience in various organizations. From November 2022, they serve as a Family Advocate at Community Mental Health Affiliates, Inc., where they support clients in the CT Stay Strong Program through case management and coordination with clinicians. In May 2023, they will join the Boy Scouts of America, Connecticut Rivers Council as the Director of Wellness/Mental Health Services, advocating for mental health and developing accommodations for campers. From November 2020 to November 2022, they worked at Ella T. Grasso Southeastern Technical High School as a Long Term Special Education Instructor, focusing on IEP plans, academic lessons, and individual success plans. Previously, from May 2015 to July 2020, they served as the Program Director at June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation, managing staff, campers, and communication with troop leadership. In January 2016, they interned at Waterford Country School.

In 2018, Zachary furthered their education at Southern Connecticut State University. During their time there, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies. Zachary remained enrolled at Southern Connecticut State University until 2020, successfully completing their studies.

Building upon their undergraduate education, Zachary Nailon decided to pursue a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor. Starting in 2022, they enrolled in the University of Phoenix and is expected to complete their degree program in 2025.
