Boyer Children's Clinic
Stella Lao, M.S., CCC-SLP, currently serves as a Speech Language Pathologist at Boyer Children's Clinic since August 2022, with prior experience in the Kent School District from 2019 to October 2022. Stella's background includes a research assistant role at the Laboratory for Speech Physiology and Motor Control at the University of Washington, where assessment of stuttering and speech/language tests was conducted. Training as a graduate student clinician at the UW Speech and Hearing Clinic involved evaluations and treatments across various sub-clinics, addressing both children and adults with diverse communication disorders. Previous roles also include self-employed English tutoring, therapy planning for speech sound disorders at Meadowood Springs Speech and Hearing Camp, and engagement with preschool clients as an ABA Therapy Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington.

Boyer Children's Clinic
Boyer was organized in 1942 by a group of doctors, parents and volunteers to provide services for children with cerebral palsy in a community setting. Today, more than 80 years later, Boyer continues to be a leader and highly-valued resource in the community promoting services for children with neuromuscular disabilities and developmental delays. Boyer is the largest provider of ESIT services in Seattle for children birth to teen (focused primarily on children age birth to three), serving over 1,200 children and their families annually. We have two locations: our flagship site in the Montlake neighborhood, and our new satellite clinic in Magnuson Park. Depending on each child’s needs, Boyer establishes an interdisciplinary team that may include therapists, a developmental pediatrician, nurses, educators, social workers and family resources coordinators to maximize identification, consultation and integration of services.
